LIM week 47

It's week 47 over  'Less is More'
and this time it's 'Just one word'

 I just made a very quick card

( reasons below)

& this week my 'one word' is seasons.

I stamped a tree three times,

coloured some leaves on two of

them and left the third one bare

for winter. Computerized sentiment

shaded from green to brown .

More rambling below !

Hope you all had a lovely Xmas as

we did. My sons are still sorting my

computer problems. I now have two 

towers & an ext. hard drive connected

which I can switch between. I hope

son number two will take one away soon

when I can manage with only one and

sort the old one. Oh and my email is now

stored on a 'cloud' it seems lol ! Another

problem I have is I have to take a

photo of a card,download it to my laptop,

then transfer that to my pen drive, then

download that to my temp new tower lol,

very fiddly at the back too.Don't ask me

about getting used to my new PSP programme

either.....or finding ANYTHING on this computer

now.Oh joy!

Hard to keep up with new technology isn't it,

feeling very old anyway

LIM week 46 (card 2)

Another quick card for 'Less is More'
where the theme is MUSIC this week.
Computerized sentiment again, I used
distress ink (TH dusty concord) on
the edges. Music paper ( some I had
stored on computer), GCF notes image.
I used distress ink on both images,
glamour dust on the edges to finish it off.

I am searching for the charts I did recently
for my Promarkers, Copics and inks I have.
I use them all the time and since I have
reorganized my craft room they have gone
missing, sooooo annoying!!!
Yikes Xmas is almost upon us, so much to
do still.............keep calm everyone...........
..and try not to panic!
ps. Here is some carrot chutney( with chilli)
& some jam I made from our home grown
raspberries.Sorry about the lousy photo's.

LIM week 46 Music

It's a theme this week over at 'Less is More'
and the theme is MUSIC
Oh my!!! really struggled this week . Just
managed to think of this quick idea in between
doing Xmas 'stuff ' .Also sorting all my small
pictures into folders ready for my hard drive
problem to be sorted by my sons.
Arrrgggghhhhh! what a job, I have so many
saved........must be hundreds!!! ( red face).
Sorry rambling again! back to my card.
Computerized sentiment ( music one) coloured
with my Promarker ( Ivory) then distress inked
on the edges.I made a rolled rose with a sheet
of old musicI had. Distress inked that also
( antique linen) & added a note charm & a
pearl to the middle of the rose. Job done!
Right back to sorting my folders...I may be
gone for some time lol.

LIM week 45 (card 2)

Here is my second card for
'Less is More' challenge. It's
a one layer card this week &
         'LET IT SNOW'
So pleased that one layer cards
don't fill me with dread now :O)
Another dingbat font, in pink
this time and more of a minimalist
look.Computerized sentiment again
& a few  clear gems & glamour dust
completes it.I added two embossed
lines as an afterthought later. Raining
here now & very grey & gloomy
looking. Hope you all have a nice
Sunday. I am just relaxing today,
still recovering from our son's
moving house activities.
ps. A big welcome to all my latest

LIM week 45 'Let it Snow'

It's  week  45 over  at  'Less is More'
and it's a one layer card with a theme of
            Let it Snow
I made a quick card using a black and 
white theme this time.I used a dingbat 
font for the snowflakes, making some 
small and some larger. Computerized 
font again, fading it as it went down in
size too.I had to add some bling I'm 
afraid as it looked so bare............hope
I am forgiven for that ! ( bats eyelashes).
Clear gems and ( glamour dust AGAIN.)
A couple of embossed lines completed
the card.
I was so happy to see I was chosen again
to be in the Showcase gallery, thankyou so
much Lady Chrissie & Diva Mandi :O)


I am quite achy today as we helped my
son and his very pregnant wife move house
yesterday.......so much work...am trying to
rest today but couldn't resist a card of course.
I made some food to keep us going yesterday
and a coffee cake as requested by my son.He
ate two large slices straight away :O)

More of the choc/caramel brownies again too.

LIM week 44 (card 3)

Another quick card for 'Less is More' 
again. It's a colour challenge this week,
and GREEN
Very similar to my last card but I used
a different swirl stamp on the clock &
added a pearl to the hands ( coloured
with my olive Copic).I also used a Copic
around the edge of the clock this time too.
PP ( Pink Petticoat) paper, distress inked
again ( peeled paint).Seam binding ribbon
stained to match using the same distress
ink.Computerized sentiment again.Another
male card for my  stash now, I need more
of these.

LIM week 44 ( card 2)

Another card for 'Less is More',

the theme is a colour one this week

so it's GREEN

I used an image which was a freebie

from another forum member ( see sidebar

crafters reunited). I used TH distress ink

again (peeled paint).I cut two panels, one I

used random distress ink on and one I 

outlined with a Copic ( olive) .I used my

Cuttlebug 'snow' embossing folder to add 

texture to the top one. After distress inking 

the main  clock  image I used a swirl stamp

( no name sorry) to add interest.I added a

large swirl ( TH alterations Sizzix) coloured

to match with my Copic ( olive) again.

Computerized  sentiment ( says time to

celebrate) to add to the swirly theme & I

3d'd the clock hands & added glamour dust

for sparkle. Ideal for a male I think, so I might
make more of these now .

Just to add I got in such a mess making this.

I tried to use black glitter for a change from a

large bottle and it came out in a very large blob

all over my hands! Sticky gloopy mess!!! I even

managed to get some accross the room almost

on my Xmas cards I had just finished....YIKES!!!!

So it was back to the old glamour dust again,

that will teach me for trying something new. 

LIM week 44 colour

Hi everyone, it's week 44 now

over at 'Less is More' and it's

a colour theme this week so....

GREEN

I am not a great lover of green

but I may have changed my mind

after doing a green card . Quite 

liking green now! So many

gorgeous cards now being made

by the  devilishly talented Diva's

and LIMettes. I really struggle to

come up with something good 

every week now. The standards 

are getting so high!!!! but it keeps

the old grey matter going so here

goes. I didn't have a script stamp I

wanted,so I made my own ( computer

generated). I used some french words 

too,....my french SIL would be proud 

lol. I used distress ink to make it green

( TH peeled paint). Then I used my 

Spellbinders die ( fancy tags 2) to

cut a label/tag, computerized sentiment

again. I distress inked that  and added

glamour dust to  some parts .I finished it off

by threading ribbon ( coloured with distress

ink to  match) through the label/tag.

Oh  & some pearls coloured to match 

with a Copic ( olive).Job done, quite

pleased this time, hope you approve too :O)
